Selecting Multiple Photos

There are several ways to select multiple photos in Photo Finale.  A description of each follows:

*       Mouse only – You can select multiple photos in a row by holding down the left mouse button and dragging a rectangular box around the thumbnails that you want to select at the bottom of the main viewer.

*       Mouse + Shift – To select multiple photos in a row, click once on the first thumbnail that you want to select.  Then, while holding down the Shift key, click the last thumbnail that you want to select.  By holding down the shift key, all photos between and including the first and last thumbnails will be selected.

*       Mouse + Ctrl – To select multiple photos not in a row, hold down the Ctrl key and click on the thumbnails that you want to select.

*       Ctrl A – To select all photos in a folder, click on one of the thumbnails.  Then hold down the Ctrl key and press the a key.

NOTE:  If you’ve selected multiple photos, the thumbnails at the bottom of the screen that you’ve selected will have a brown box around each.
